Yamagata University will thoroughly support your efforts to land your dream job in the sector in which you wish to be employed.
We support students through various employment seminars appropriate to the academic years and semesters, by providing information and advices, and by offering “any time” consultations.

Employment seminar

In the first and second years, the person in charge will discuss with your ways in which your interest, aptitude and learning style can be leveraged in your future career. During the third year, you will participate in various activities from concrete self-analysis to mock job interviews.

Career and employment guidance

During the future career and employment guidance for third year students, you will be advised on how to decide your future career, and how to prepare yourself for and engage in job-hunting.

Job aptitude test

This test will help you to objectively understand your basic personality and academic skills, to identify your ideal career based on the results and to measure your aptitude for your desired occupation.

Seminar for teacher employment examination

For students who wish to become teachers, mock interviews with a focus on self-introduction will be conducted. In the performance review after the interview, your strong and weak points will be discussed.

Seminar for civil service examination

This course is appropriate for students who wish to appear in the civil service examination. By identifying trends and effective strategies using questions from past examinations, students can increase their chances of success.

Seminar for general employment examination

Learn to read newspapers and gather information to effectively handle employment examination and interview questions in a wide range of topics such as politics, economics, current affairs and cultural affairs.
